A slow morning at the villa. Lunch at a taverna the families return to every year. Afternoon on the secluded cove with kayaks, paddleboards, and a nanny on call.

A full day on the water. Hydra at lunchtime, swim stops in protected bays, ice cream on the way back. Kids love it, grandparents never notice it is long.

Breakfast late. A private chef for dinner. Games on the lawn, a movie under the stars.

Short private boat transfer to Spetses, the island without cars. Horse-drawn carriage tour, lunch by the water, boutiques for those who want them.

Kept open, on purpose. The pool. A swim before lunch. A siesta for the grandparents, beach for the kids, tennis for the teenagers.

A morning drive to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, one of the most intact in the world. Picnic on the grounds, afternoon at a local winery that welcomes us.

Private boat again, smaller this time, to a cove no ferry reaches. Swimming, lunch on board, slow return. Last sunset on the terrace.
